Jerry Alderman Jr Obituary, Death – The passing of my husband, Jerry Jr. Alderman, occurred today, for the benefit of everyone who is unaware of this. This afternoon, he went to sleep and went to sleep! Currently, I do not possess any knowledge; but, as soon as I am aware of what it is that we will be doing, I will communicate it to you all. In addition to being a theoretical and particle physicist, he graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics.
The University of Washington awarded him a Master of Science degree in physics, and George Washington University awarded him a Doctor of Philosophy degree in mathematical physics. He was a member of the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he taught physics.
He was a senior physicist at Vitro Laboratories, a research engineer at Boeing, and the head scientist at Mantech Corporation. He received national acclaim for his accomplishments in assisting the air strike community of the United States Navy and the Strike Fighter Weapons School at Naval Air Station Cecil Field.
Through his own business, St. John’s Research Corporation, he was responsible for the development of all of the original air surface strike planning software for the F/A-18 Hornets. Additionally, he was responsible for the creation of software products that were utilized by navy aviators in situations where errors could not be tolerated.
After that, he worked with the Mayo Clinic to identify proteins through the use of neural network computers. He completed his career at Texas Instruments and Raytheon with a number of patents issued to him and a book that was published.
The path that was less traveled was chosen by him because he was a passionate and genuine soul, a Gator, a poet, a writer, a lover of creativity and creative thought, and a boat enthusiast.
His daughter, Shannon Alderman, his brothers, Dr. Harold Alderman, Peyton Phillips, and Paul Phillips, as well as his nephews and cousins from the Alderman, Phillips, and Greenman clans, as well as friends from all over the world, are among those who are able to carry on his inheritance.
On Saturday, March 19th, at ten o’clock in the morning, there will be a service held at the graveside at Restlawn Memorial Park, which is located at 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32208.
