Nancy Smith Obituary, Death – We would appreciate it if you would pray for the family led by Nancy Smith. This morning, Nancy died away in the early hours. As soon as the arrangements are finalized, we will keep you updated on them. On December 13, 2023, at the age of 65, Nancy Smith, who had been a resident of Natick and had previously been a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly.

Born in Albany, New York, she was the loving wife of Chet Smith for 38 years. Her parents, Jack and Carol Hickey, both passed away before she was born. With deep affection, mother of Sarah Prince and her husband Cato, who reside in Waltham, as well as Lyndsey Lee Smith, who passed away. In addition to her late brothers Jack and Brian Hickey, she is the cherished sister of Kyle Mesiti and her husband Nick, who reside in Albany, New York. Moreover, a large number of nieces and nephews survive him.

The wit, loyalty, tenacity, and pride that she displayed in everything that she did will be sorely missed. She attended Vincentian Institute High School in Albany and then went on to graduate from Cortland State University in New York. Then, while she was raising her two children, she worked as a postal carrier in Silver Spring. Even though Lyndsey had suffered a brain injury, she managed to show both of them affection.

For close to twenty years, Nancy was employed in the Metrowest area, where she was responsible for landscaping, property maintenance, and establishing relationships with neighborhood homeowners.

She developed into a shrewd investor and was always on the lookout for the next upcoming phenomenon. Having morning tea and celebrating with an evening cha-ching of the wine glass while spending time on the phone with her closest and most enduring friends were two of her most treasured activities.

You can learn more about her incredible experience by reading the book “NONVOTERS, America’s No Shows” written by Ellen Shearer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21st at 9am, beginning at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home located at 4 Park Street in Natick Common.

A Funeral Mass will thereafter take place at 10 a.m. at St. Linus Church, which is located at 119 Hartford Street in Natick. Members of the family and close friends are cordially welcome to attend. South Natick’s Glenwood Cemetery was chosen for cremation. Funeral home will be open for visitation on Wednesday, December 20th, from 4 to 7 o’clock in the evening.
