Pamela Metzdorf Obituary, Death – I am Pamela Metzdorf. Notification of Death, Vero Beach, Florida, Obituary A Life That Is Beyond Belief Remembered His birth took place on June 20, 1941 in Anderson, Indiana; nevertheless, he spent his childhood in Orlando, Florida. His parents, Arthur L. Metzdorf and Lillian June Tucker Metzdorf, were the parents of identical twins at the time of his birth. After completing his education at Florida Military School, he went on to serve in the United States Aviation Service.

Jerry is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible-Theology, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, and Central State Hospital with a Clinical Pastoral Education Diploma.

For a period of three years, he served as the pastor of Toomsboro Baptist Church in Wilkinson County, where he was an appointed Southern Baptist Minister. On the other hand, God had other plans for Jerry and guided him to his true calling when he was employed as the Clinical Chaplain at Dodge Correctional Institute in 1982.

He worked there for seven years before moving on to Reidsville Correctional, where he continued to work until he retired in 2001. As well as his wife, children, grandchildren, and a large number of nieces and nephews, Jerry is survived by his family.

His mother and father, his brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Carolyn Metzdorf, as well as his in-laws and brothers-in-law, Rodney and Joe Stallings, all passed away before him. The fact that Jerry was our spouse, father, and grandfather brought a great deal of blessing into our lives.

We know that he is with his Heavenly Father and the many people who have passed over before him, and he will be missed by all of us. We await the day when we will be able to see him once more. On Saturday, January 22, 2022, at eleven o’clock in the morning, funeral services will be held at Marie Baptist Church.

The Reverend Bobby Hutto will preside over the ceremony, and burial will take place in Dublin Memorial Gardens afterward. At the church, the family will host a reception for friends which will take place one hour before the service. Michael Metzdorf, Gregory Metzdorf, Brian Metzdorf, Timothy Metzdorf, Jason Thomas, and James Hammock will serve as pallbearers at the funeral service’s funeral service.
