Daniel Gardner Obituary, Death – Daniel L. “Red” Gardner, who resided on MacIntyre Road in Fowlerville and was 62 years old at the time of his untimely death, went away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at his residence.

Son of Leland S. Gardner, who had passed away, and Helen McLaughlin Gardner, who had also passed away, he was born on September 20, 1952. Both of his parents had passed away.

The Finger Lakes Race Track in Farmington was his place of employment for thirty years, and during that period he was a member of the starting gate crew. He was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed reading and horses as hobbies. He also enjoyed being outside.

He is survived by his brother, Shawn (Marisa) Gardner of Wellsville, sisters, Colleen (Art) Kemp of Piffard, Laurie (John) Nasca of Nunda, Monica (Scott) Batzing of York, Shannon (Jim) Johnson of Perry, Tammy (Roman Hill) Brick of Leicester, nieces and nephews, Natalie (Cory) Suladie, Trevor (Abby) Gardner, Katie Kemp, Patrick (Jill) Kemp, Jason

Nasca, Leah (Nick D’Augustino) Batzing, Sarah Batzing, Amy (Brian Sage) Batzing, Shane Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Erika Wells, great niece Lana Robles, great nephews, Jake Bushnell, Logan Batzing and Caleb Kemp.

On the evening of Tuesday, December 23, 2014, the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, which can be found at 111 Main Street in Geneseo, will be available for visiting from four o’clock until seven o’clock.

There will be a memorial service immediately after the visitation, which will begin at seven o’clock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the York Ambulance Fund, which can be addressed to the following address: P.O. Box 92, Retsof, New York 14539.
