Update: Citizens on site have reported receiving an ALL-CLEAR notification.
Earlier, an active shooter alert was issued at Deaconess Midtown campus.
However, it now appears that this was a FALSE ALARM.
No active shooter was observed or found.
It is possible that this incident originated from a report of shots fired by someone who believed they heard gunshots in the vicinity of the hospital.
