The police have released a 911 call that was linked to a deadly shooting on Sunset Road that claimed the lives of two barbecue personnel.

The Chicago Metropolitan Police Department (CMPD) has announced that two workers of the Cookout restaurant on Sunset Road were involved in a deadly shooting. Details about the call are provided below.

The police report’s conclusions have shown that Horne was shot by her twenty-year-old colleague, Malek Crosby, according to witnesses to the crime. Crosby was identified based on the employee and time card data that was gathered. Except for Malek Crosby, every employee who had logged in and was working was present and accounted for, according to a police report.

Following his arrest, Crosby faced first-degree homicide charges. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has released the identity of the two people who were killed in two different shootings that happened early on Sunday morning. Both occurrences happened on Sunday, March 17th, just after five in the morning, and were minutes apart.

The first event happened in the 4300 block of Sunset Road, which is near to Beatties Ford Road. When the cops came, they found 26-year-old Jaselyn Horne suffering from several gunshot wounds. When MEDIC arrived on the scene, they were able to confirm her death.

The second incident, meanwhile, happened in Bradford Drive’s 300 block. MEDIC was able to ascertain that Darien Morrison, 31, had sustained several gunshot wounds and had passed away at the scene, according to the police.

The police have not yet released any more details or indicated whether or not they are still looking for any suspects. Investigations are still ongoing into the two incidents.
