Aedan Smith is accused with aggravated assault and carrying a handgun inside a school safety zone in connection with the stabbing at Sprayberry High School.

After being stabbed, the victim at Sprayberry High School is in serious condition, and the defendant is being charged with a crime. According to a Cobb County police department update on Thursday morning, the victim of a stabbing that happened on Wednesday at Sprayberry High School is presently in severe condition. Furthermore, the 17-year-old defendant, named as Aedan Smith, is facing charges of both aggravated assault and carrying a pistol within a school safety zone, the police official said.

In addition, the 18-year-old victim’s identify was made public. For the time being, however. The incident that happened on Wednesday night, just before noon, prompted the high school to go into Code Red lockdown. The Cobb County police report that there was a skirmish and that one student stabbed another. Turner Maddox, a senior at the school, reportedly said that he was there when the event in the restroom took place.

He said, “It looks like one of the three kids was fighting in the bathroom with a knife or other object and stabbed the other student.”

They then dashed across the street to the Chick-fil-A before making their getaway. Eventually, a suspect was captured by the police, and classes resumed as normal in spite of the large number of law enforcement personnel in the area.

The parents were uncomfortable with the situation. One mother who has twin kids enrolled in the school said she’s not sure whether she’ll be bringing them back. We don’t seem to be safe anyplace, in my opinion. There are gunshots coming from every angle. “You send your children to school, and you have no idea if they will return,” asserts Suzane Nesbitt.
