Death of Brad Bulver: Brad Bulver, a special education teacher at Prior Lake High School, has sadly died away. On Friday, March 22, 2024, he passed away following a valiant fight with ALS. “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must report that PLHS Special Education Teacher Brad Bulver passed away this morning after a brave battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS,” reads a publication that provided confirmation of his death. Brad spent nearly 26 years as a high school teacher before leaving.

Brad Bulver’s Professional Life
After a 29-year career in education, Bulver continued his teaching career by working for PLSAS for 26 of those years as a special education coach and instructor. Over the course of multiple seasons, he not only provided video support for the PLHS football team, but he also coached track and field, basketball, volleyball, and golf at PLSAS. Nevertheless, he submitted his retirement from the company in March 2023. As an extra interesting note, Prior Lake High School honored Bulver during their most recent homecoming game.

Brad Bulver’s affable demeanor and grounded nature made him a highly regarded figure. He was a brilliant example of humility and kindness, more than just a teacher. Brad Bulver has a smile that can make even the gloomiest mornings brighter when he gets to school. He gets there as another school is being illuminated by the morning sun. He has been an integral part of the Maplewood community for almost 20 years, having a good influence on many kids’ and coworkers’ lives via his unwavering generosity and unwavering dedication. Outside of the classroom, Brad’s impact is seen on the sports field, where he helps young athletes who are just beginning their careers as a buddy, coach, and mentor.

Brad Bulver was a devoted parent.
His ability to make everyone feel important and understood is a rare quality that helps to create an environment that is respectful and welcoming to all people. Brad has been bestowed with many accolades and successes, but he still has a remarkable degree of humility.

He credits the unwavering support of his family, friends, and the Prior Lake community for his achievement. In addition to serving as an inspiration to people around him, his modest manner serves as a reminder to all of us of the value of keeping a grounded perspective despite the ups and downs life throws at us.

Apart from his career as an educator, Brad is a devoted spouse and father who cherishes every second he spends with his loved ones. His enthusiasm and love know no bounds, and he approaches coaching and teaching with unwavering patience, support, and optimism. His role as a doting father is similar to how he approaches coaching and teaching.
