Mounirah Abu-Aita Obituary, Has Tragically Passed Away After Stomach Cancer

Mounirah Abu-Aita Obituary, Death – Mounirah “Mary” Abu-Aita, a revered matriarch, passed away on March 18, 2024. Her remarkable legacy of bravery, benevolence, and devotion profoundly impacted the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Despite her valiant battle against gastric cancer, Mary’s resilience remained unwavering, and she continued to motivate others with her fortitude and empathy. Mary peacefully departed, with her cherished children, Amir, Jacob, and Jordan, by her side.

Commending Her Life and Contributions.

The funeral service at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church on Thursday, March 28, 2024 will be officiated by Father Matthew-Peter Butrie. Mary’s final resting place will be Sunset Hills Cemetery-Chapel of Angels. The visitation will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, and will be followed by a Trisagion Service in the church.

An Expedition of Resilience and Achievement.

Mary was born on November 5, 1960, in Jericho, West Bank, Palestine, and relocated to the United States during her early childhood. Her exceptional accomplishment as an All-State basketball and softball standout in high school paved the way for a prosperous entrepreneurial career.

In the face of numerous challenges, Mary demonstrated unwavering faith and dedication to her family, skillfully balancing her responsibilities as a caregiver, coach, and businesswoman with elegance and determination.

An Inheritance of Affection and Belief.

Mary’s most significant inheritance is the affection, resilience, and unwavering belief she imparted to all those she encountered. She instilled in us the values of unconditional love, being a pillar of support for others, providing unfailing assistance, and having faith in the Lord during challenging times. We shall be inspired by her recollections to uphold these principles and continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.

Remembered with great affection and mourned dearly.

Mary’s surviving family members include her children Amir, Jacob, Jordan, and Amira; grandchildren Zayn and Isabella; and siblings Henrietta, Frocene, Issa, Jim, and Mike. She predeceased her parents, Arturo and Afifeh.

As we bid farewell to Mounirah “Mary” Abu-Aita, may her memory endure eternally, and may her legacy of affection and devotion radiate resplendently in our hearts for all eternity.
