Lorcan, who was fulfilling a winter excursion in Sydney, Australia, tragically departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of athleticism, camaraderie, and unwavering dedication.
Lorcan Brannigan, affectionately known as “Lorcán,” was not merely a remarkable player on the field but a beloved figure off it. His sudden and untimely passing has plunged both the club and the community into profound sorrow and disbelief. Departing for Australia in November 2023, Lorcan was eagerly anticipated to return for club duties, his absence now leaving a void that cannot be filled.
A versatile athlete, Lorcan showcased his prowess in both hurling and football, earning admiration from teammates, coaches, and opponents alike. His dedication to his craft was unparalleled, his commitment to fitness and skill development serving as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of witnessing his performances on the pitch.
