Ronnie Metcalf Incident –  Significant injuries were sustained by a firefighter from Lexington who was combating a house fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning. An effort was being made by the firefighter to extinguish the fire.

Firefighter Ronnie Metcalf was sent to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in order to receive treatment for injuries that were assessed to be life-threatening, according to the Lexington Fire Department. The hospital is located in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

The occurrence took place on March 26 at approximately midnight, and firefighters were dispatched to the location where the incident took place. At the address 309 West Fifth Street, there was a residence, and it was observed that smoke and flames were emanating from the rear of the property.

The order to evacuate the residence was issued by the fire department after a few minutes of fighting the fire. The fire department suggested that the people should leave the residence. A copy of the order was distributed to the people who lived in the residence.
