On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at approximately 1:14 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to multiple addresses in the area of Holmes Street, Winnetka Drive, and Cleveland Avenue.
The suspect, a 22-year-old male, was located in the same area and taken into custody at 1:35 p.m.
At the time of this release, there are four deceased victims:
- A 15-year-old female,
- a 63-year-old female,
- a 49-year-old male
- a 22-year-old male.
There are five additional victims who were transported to local hospitals and are currently being treated for serious injuries.
This is a very active and multi-level, multi-agency investigation and has an extensive amount of moving parts.
