Jacob and Ella Welcher, Raymond’s parents, as well as his siblings Abe, Claude, Wilson, Samuel, Eric, Trixie, Laura, and baby Evelyn, all passed away before Raymond. Raymond was the last surviving member of his family. Another group of people who came before him were his in-laws, Marshall and Letsie Goodyear, as well as his brothers-in-law, Ruben, Colin, Daniel, and Heber, and his sisters-in-law, Elsie, Betty, Annabelle, Hilda, and Dorothy.
Charmaine, Raymond’s devoted wife, who was able to share many wonderful moments with him, is the only person from whom his memory will be preserved. Not only does he leave behind his sister, Jemima Dooley, and her husband Ralph, but he is also survived by his brothers, Chesley and Solomon Sr. Raymond is remembered fondly by his numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, including his special niece Debbie Bennett. All of these relatives hold cherished memories of Raymond close to their hearts.
Raymond will be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law Kathleen Welcher, Beulah Welcher, and Claudia Welcher, as well as Irene Humphries, Pearl Wakely, Flossie Burton and her husband Job, Irene Pond, brothers-in-law Selby Roebotham, Bill Goodyear and his wife Jeanette, Norm Wakely, and a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.
Everyone who knew him was filled with joy and laughter as a result of his presence, and the legacy of love that he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
