Brian Robert Law Obituary, Death – With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Brian Robert Law, our retired partner, on March 21, 2024. Brian was a founding partner of Pavey Law LLP and served as managing partner until his retirement in 2017. He was not just a colleague but also a mentor and advisor, imparting invaluable wisdom to all who knew him.
Legacy of Integrity: Brian exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and integrity throughout his distinguished legal career. After graduating from Queen’s University School of Law, he was called to the Ontario Bar in 1977. He later earned a Masters of Laws from York University Osgoode Hall Law School in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Brian’s dedication to knowledge and service earned him respect from clients, colleagues, and the legal community at large.
Community Service Champion: Brian was deeply committed to community service, embodying the ethos of giving back. He served on various boards, including the Chaplin Family YMCA, Cambridge United Way, and Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation. His contributions were recognized with accolades such as the Personal Business Achievement Award from the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
