Spread the love

Rick Brown Death – My father-in-law Rick Brown passed away quietly in the company of his devoted family last night. His granddaughter Tailor serenaded him with a song and comforting Bible verses, creating a touching moment. Rick fought bravely for almost 48 hours, but only after Tailor made some very kind gestures did he begin to transition peacefully.

Amazingly, after Tailor had finished singing, Rick who had been under a strong sedative for more than twenty-four hours jolted awake, opened his eyes, and started raising his hands. Rick seemed to be reaching out to God, and it was an intensely emotional moment for everyone in the room. My husband Kyle started praying right away, and everyone in the family gathered around to offer their love and support.

We are incredibly grateful for Tailor’s presence and feel incredibly honored that her advice helped Rick on his return trip. Rick’s wife Jamie and sons were by his side during his last moments, providing consolation and support. Love-filled and tender Kyle reassured Rick that it was okay to let go, and Ronnie, who couldn’t be there in person, made sure he was a part of the farewell by joining us via phone.

I have never seen a passing so profound in all of my years. Our family experienced strength and comfort during this trying time as if the Lord’s presence was all around them in that hospital room.

Those who knew and loved Rick will always treasure his lively spirit. Always ready with a joke or a laugh, he was the life of the party. Rick now finds peace, freed from the suffering of addiction and grief, after being reunited with loved ones who have passed on before him, like Cody and Grandma.

Along the way, Rick held a variety of positions in the automotive industry, including sales at Kendall Ford and Bobby Combs RV in Coburg. He worked at 101 Auto Sales in the United Arab Emirates in addition to his role as Sales Manager at Coos Bay Toyota. Rick was a cherished member of the Veneta, Oregon community in addition to his professional pursuits.

He was a proud graduate of Marshfield High School. His loss is greatly felt by his large and loving family, which includes his brother Tim Holmes, sons Chris and Ronnie Brown, and several sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. As we say goodbye to Rick, we find solace in the knowledge that he is at peace, encircled by love, and that we will always carry his memory with us. Rick, may you rest in peace. We will sincerely miss you.

Funeral and obituary will be Announced by family members
