Brian Vogel Obituary, Death Cause – At his residence in Alexandria, Minnesota, on Monday, April 1, 2024, Brian G. Vogel, who was 58 years old and a resident of Alexandria, Minnesota, passed away. On Friday, April 5, at eleven o’clock in the morning, a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony.
The Reverend Edward Vebelun, O.S.B. will preside over the worship service. The burial will take place in the cemetery attached to the parish. The church will be open for visitation on Friday from ten to eleven in the morning.
His parents, Claude and Janice (Becker) Vogel, welcomed their son Brian Gerald Vogel into the world on August 22, 1965 in Melrose, Minnesota. Following his graduation from Albany High School, he spent his childhood on the family farm located close to St. Anthony. At the beginning of the year 1994, he tied the knot with Carrie Bechtold and began their family in Alexandria, Minnesota.
For nearly three decades, Brian was employed at Fleet Farm, and most recently, he was employed at Aagard. He had a passion for the great outdoors, fishing, and traveling to Duluth and other places in the West. Working with wood and making crafts were two of his favorite hobbies, and he cherished the time he got to spend with his family, especially his two kids.
Among his survivors are his sons, Spencer Vogel (and his wife Sarah) of St. Joseph and Matthew Vogel (and his wife Jaclyn) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; his father, Claude Vogel, of St. Anthony; his brothers and sisters, Debra (and her husband Richard) Schreifels of Staples, Michael Vogel (and his wife Jane) of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; Richard Vogel (and his wife Laura) of Albany; Lori Austing (and her husband Dan) Austing of Freeport; Lisa Buttweiler (and her husband John) Buttweiler of Avon; Steve Vogel (and his wife Natasha) of Albany; and Tom Vogel (and his wife Jaclyn) of Albany; his former wife, Carrie Vogel of Alexandria; and a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his mother, Janice Vogel, who passed away on May 7, 2020, his brother, David Vogel, who passed away in 2009, and his nephew, Mason Vogel, also survived him.
