Odessa Shooting Investigations: The Midland Police Department has been informed of an incident in Odessa involving a reported carjacking and shooting that occurred in Ector County on Monday morning.
Law enforcement authorities are presently requesting the public’s aid in finding a black 2014 Ford Mustang GT Convertible bearing the license plate TX/CLP0753. The automobile is suspected to be linked to a recent homicide and carjacking incident in the Odessa region.

Ector County ISD: All ECISD schools and buildings were in Secure but that has now been lifted. The District took that action after receiving word that local law enforcement agencies were searching for a vehicle that reportedly fired shots at others while driving around.
A Secure means all of our students and staff are to remain indoors – no one enters or exits until we receive additional word – while continuing to operate on a regular schedule inside the building. Please know there were no threats toward any of our schools; the Secure was done as a precaution and is now lifted.
