MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man hit by a car Friday night on Grelot Road has died, according to the Mobile Police Department.
An MPD news release said 51-year-old Curtis Flakes, Jr., was killed while walking on Grelot Road Friday just before 9 p.m.
Officers were called to the scene and learned that the victim, now identified as Flakes, was walking in the road when he was hit by a car driving west on Grelot Road.
Flakes was pronounced dead on the scene.
The release said the car’s driver stayed on the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
