Christopher Rael Death – The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has provided details regarding a tragic incident of murder-suicide that took place on Friday.
CSPD has identified Christopher Rael, a 48-year-old individual, as one of the deceased individuals found in an apartment.
The other victim is a 7-year-old child, whose identity will not be revealed.
Authorities received the initial call at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning, reporting the incident at the 3100 block of Lange Terrace, near the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and North Union Boulevard.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the lifeless bodies of Rael and the 7-year-old, both having suffered apparent gunshot wounds.
On Monday, the police announced that Rael’s death is being treated as a suicide, while the 7-year-old’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
Although the authorities have confirmed that the child and Rael were acquainted, they have not disclosed the nature of their relationship at this time.
According to CSPD, this unfortunate event marks the 10th homicide in Colorado Springs this year.
