Steven Mendoza De Luna Obituary, Man 42, deceased, 4 teenagers arrested
Steven Mendoza De Luna Obituary – Four teenagers are currently facing charges of capital murder in connection with a fatal robbery that occurred at a convenience store in southeast Houston last month.
According to the Houston police, the four suspects, who are all male and under the age of 18, have been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. However, their identities and booking photos will not be disclosed. These four individuals are accused of being involved in the death of 42-year-old Steven Mendoza De Luna.
The incident took place on March 20, shortly before 1 a.m., at a convenience store located along the Gulf Freeway and Monroe Road. Investigators have stated that three of the suspects entered the store and attempted to carry out a robbery.
Tragically, during the robbery, one of the suspects shot De Luna, resulting in his death. The store clerk was reportedly armed, but it remains unclear whether he was able to discharge any rounds.
Following the shooting, all three suspects fled the scene in the vehicle they had arrived in. It is worth noting that there were no customers present in the store at the time of the incident.
Through further investigation into the fatal shooting, authorities were able to identify the four individuals involved. Approximately one week after the incident, two 14-year-old suspects were apprehended. The two 16-year-olds were arrested earlier this month.
