Elijah Santiago Death – State police have identified the driver who was killed in a fatal head-on collision in Haddam on Tuesday morning as Elijah Santiago, 28, of Hamden.
The accident occurred when a 1997 Ford F-150 was heading north on Saybrook Road/Route 154 in Haddam at 6:33 a.m. on Tuesday. Santiago was driving a 2012 Honda Civic south on Route 154 when the two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver and passenger of the Ford pickup truck sustained minor injuries and were taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Santiago was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
