Jacob Zappa Obituary – Jacob Zappa, a 34-year-old Pizza Ranch worker from Waukesha, was tragically killed on Monday after being struck by a garbage truck in Burlington. The restaurant, located at 960 Milwaukee Ave., expressed their deepest sympathies to Zappa’s family, friends, and fellow team members during this difficult time.
The preliminary investigation conducted by the Burlington Police Department revealed that Zappa was walking towards his car when the truck, which was backing up, collided with him shortly before 10 a.m. The police confirmed that the garbage truck, owned by ASDA Refuse and Recycling Services, had a functioning backup alarm.
Both ASDA and the driver are cooperating with the ongoing investigation, and no criminal charges are currently being considered. The restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday but has since reopened to customers on Wednesday.
