Heather Haas Obituary – The deceased woman found in a garbage bin in the Sunland neighborhood has been identified as Heather Haas, 32, by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Residents reported a foul smell coming from the trash can, leading to the discovery of the body on Tuesday. William Elliot, a Sunland resident, described finding the tipped-over trash can with a suspicious odor and the serial number scratched off.
The cause of death has not been determined, and it remains unknown how long the body had been in the bin. Detective Eduardo Serrano of the Los Angeles Police Department expressed sadness over the discovery of a body in such a manner, emphasizing the ongoing investigation into Ms. Haas’ death.
