Cody P Cooper Obituary-Death News; 22 Years Old Resident Of Topeka, Cody P Cooper Passes Away In A Fatal Shooting
The sixth homicide case in the Capital City was identified on Saturday by the Topeka Police Department (TPD). A news statement states that on Friday, a tragic gunshot claimed the life of Topeka resident Cody P. Cooper, age 22. This incident is the fifth homicide case in Topeka for 2024 that the TPD is currently looking into.
On April 19, at around eight in the morning, authorities got a call reporting gunfire in the 3700 block of SW Park South Court. Officers arrived and found a person—later identified as Cooper—who had been shot in the head and was critically injured.
First responders did their best, but Cooper was declared dead at the site. After that, the TPD declared that they were investigating his death and treating it as a homicide.
