North Colorado Springs Car Accident: Multi-vehicle Accident in North Colorado Springs left Undisclosed One Dead, and Northbound Powers Blvd. Closed
One person died in a ‘serious’ multi-vehicle crash that left northbound Powers Boulevard is closed at Old Ranch Road in Colorado Springs Friday afternoon.
According to the information that was shared on social media by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, their teams responded to a crash that occurred on the north side of the city at approximately 2:50 p.m. Officials from the fire department claimed that there were many vehicles and a number of patients involved.
At approximately 3:30 in the afternoon, the Colorado Springs police department said that the northbound Powers Boulevard was stopped, and traffic was being rerouted to Union and Marksheffel.
At approximately five o’clock in the evening, the police reported that one of the individuals involved had passed away, and that two others had sustained injuries. Two other automobiles were involved in an accident that occurred when a vehicle heading southbound on Powers Street crossed over into the northbound lanes and collided with them.
At that time, the authorities stated that they anticipated the route would continue to be closed for a number of hours.
