Tears as 1991 Bellevue Marquette High School Alumni mourn Scott Kilburg’s passing
The 1991 Bellevue Marquette High School graduates are mourning a member who died unexpectedly. Scott Kilburg was a family-oriented man who excelled in everything he did. The family announced that a memorial service to commemorate the life of Scott Lynn Kilburg will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Off Shore Event Center in Bellevue, Iowa.
Scott Kilburg was born on February 16, 1973, to parents Dennis and Diane Kilburg (nee Michels). He completed his studies at Bellevue Marquette High School in 1991. He possessed a strong passion for basketball, regularly practiced shooting baskets in the park adjacent to his residence, and achieved numerous records throughout his time at Marquette High School. Scott subsequently enrolled at Mount Mercy College. He married the love of his life Sarah Wagner on May 30, 1998, according to Scott’s obituary on Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Throughout his professional journey, he occupied many positions in marketing and leadership. Scott deeply valued his family and friends and was adored by a multitude of people. The surviving individuals are his spouse, Sarah; their offspring, Jake and Ellie Kilburg; his biological parents, Dennis and Diane Kilburg; paternal and maternal in-laws, Gary and Betsy Wagner; maternal grandparents, Donald and Dorothy Michels; siblings, Josh (Wendy) Kilburg, Tami (Brett) Ploessl, and Jessica (Rodney) Putman; a sister-in-law, Stacy (Loren) Potter; numerous relatives; and numerous close friends both nearby and distant.
