A man who was hit by two vehicles that fled the scene on Columbus’ Far East Side has been identified by the police.
James K. Brusenhan, 66, was crossing East Broad Street at Richmond Woods Drive when the incident occurred at 12:59 a.m. on Friday.
The first vehicle, traveling westbound on East Broad Street, struck him and left the scene.
The impact knocked Brusenhan into the center turn lane, where a 2016–2018 Toyota RAV4 then struck him in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the SUV also fled, and the police are currently investigating the crash.
