Masterchef Australia says it is dedicating its first episode to Jarred Bocca a Series Producer at Endemol Shine Australia.

The first episode, which is scheduled to air on Monday, April 22, at 7:30 pm on 10 and 10 Play, is dedicated to the longtime show producer who died in an accident.

The news was met with a lot of controversies from fans of the show who worry that Jarred may have been another vaccine victim.

An X user, Mealy Potatoes, stated under the comment section of Died Suddenly that Jarred was vocal about him getting vaccinated just before the tragic news of his demise,

Mealy Potatoes Replied to @DiedSuddenly_” I’ve got a new name for you.

Jarred Bocca. They just dedicated Masterchef Australia’s first episode to him and on his Instagram he is going on and on in a post about getting vaccinated.

I couldn’t find any obituaries about his death.

But possibly another vaccine death.” Jarred was a longtime well-known freelancer and had worked as a Series Producer at Masterchef Australia and Endemol Shine Australia.

MasterChef Australia is an Australian culinary competition reality show derived from the original British MasterChef.

Endemol Shine Australia is the only company responsible for producing the show, which airs on Network 10.

Restaurateur and chef Gary Mehigan, chef George Calombaris, and food critic Matt Preston were the primary judges of the show until 2019.

Then, Series 4 winner and chef Andy Allen, food critic Melissa Leong, and restaurateur and chef Jock Zonfrillo took their places.

In addition, the series has given rise to five spin-off series.

The television show Celebrity MasterChef Australia showcased participants, while Junior MasterChef Australia focused on younger contestants.

MasterChef Australia All-Stars brought back previous contestants from the first three series, while MasterChef Australia: The Professionals featured professional chefs as competitors.

Lastly, Dessert Masters highlighted the skills of professional pastry chefs. In October 2023, it was reported that Leong would not be participating in the 2024 series.
