Steven M. Wright, aged 34 and a resident of Pekin, has been identified as the individual who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday evening in Peoria County.
The Peoria County Coroner, Jamie Harwood, has determined that Wright succumbed to severe injuries caused by multiple blunt force traumas sustained during the crash.
The incident occurred at the junction of Airport Road and Tuscarora Road. Upon arriving at the scene at approximately 6 p.m.
on Saturday, the sheriff’s deputies discovered Wright’s lifeless body.
According to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, it appears that the vehicle, traveling southbound on Airport Road, veered out of control and collided with a tree.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that a toxicology report is currently pending.
