Shawn Elrod Death – A male individual was fatally shot by law enforcement at a Walmart located near Highway 123 following a disturbance that was reported in the store on Sunday evening.
Law enforcement officers from Easley arrived at the Walmart on Rolling Hills Circle after being alerted about a man causing damage to the firearms counter and trying to steal ammunition, as stated by Easley Police Lt. Ashley Anderson in a statement to The Post and Courier.
Lt. Anderson mentioned that the officers approached the man, who was later recognized as 33-year-old Shawn Elrod, at approximately 7 p.m. on April 21 and made efforts to calm the situation down.
