Alexander Roque Arrested; – Alexander Roque has been taken into custody and is now facing charges of second-degree murder, as indicated by online jail records.
Following the tragic incident, Roque allegedly shot his girlfriend inside a white Hyundai Tucson before heading to the police station on West Palm Drive to turn himself in.
Upon surrendering to the authorities, Roque disclosed that the victim’s body was still in the car, along with the firearm used in the crime. The victim was found in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, with a revolver located on the driver’s side floorboard.
An arrest report released on Monday revealed that Roque had contacted the victim’s estranged husband, sending him a photo of the victim’s body and admitting to the fatal shooting during a phone call.
Additionally, Roque video called the estranged husband through WhatsApp, displaying the lifeless body, which was later shared with investigators.
Roque also confessed to his cousin over the phone and sent a similar photo, prompting the cousin to contact emergency services. Roque was apprehended outside the police department late Saturday night, as captured by surveillance cameras.
The community expressed shock over the incident, with neighbors unaware of Roque’s girlfriend. The victim has not been identified, and the investigation is being led by the Miami-Dade police.
