Montrell Curtis Obituary, Elkhart man killed after crash at Indiana, Benham Avenue
Montrell Curtis Obituary – The fatal one-car crash that occurred near the intersection of West Indiana Avenue and Benham Avenue is currently being investigated by the Elkhart Police Department Fatal Crash Team.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 21st, an officer on patrol from the Elkhart Police Department noticed a Pontiac Torrent that had collided with a light pole. Inside the SUV were two individuals.
Upon arrival, the Elkhart Fire Department assisted in extricating the trapped occupants from the vehicle. Both men were promptly transported to the hospital by medics.
Unfortunately, Montrell Curtis, a 32-year-old resident of Elkhart and the front-seat passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after. The driver, a 27-year-old man also from Elkhart, remains in critical condition as of Monday morning.
