Deputy Tobin Bolter Obituary – Deputy Tobin Bolter, aged 27, tragically lost his life on Sunday due to injuries sustained during an attempted traffic stop in Boise, Idaho. According to Boise State Public Radio, Deputy Bolter was shot while carrying out his duties on Saturday evening. A concerned citizen witnessed the incident, promptly called 911, and even performed CPR, as reported by Idaho News.

Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene and was later found at a residence in Boise less than an hour later. However, the suspect displayed a lack of cooperation, as stated in a news release by the Boise Police. In a subsequent confrontation shortly before midnight, the suspect fired shots at the officers, who were forced to return fire, resulting in the suspect being fatally wounded.

The identity of the 65-year-old suspect remains unknown at this time.

During a Sunday morning news conference, an emotional Ada County Sheriff Matt Clifford expressed his uncertainty regarding the motives behind the suspect’s actions. He stated, “We do not know why he fled or shot the deputy.” Sheriff Clifford further revealed that the suspect had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest, amounting to $3,000.
