Robert Long Obituary – Authorities have confirmed that the body of Robert Long, a father of seven who had been missing for over a week, has been discovered in an Illinois river.
The Joliet Police Department reported Long missing on April 13, and he was last seen on April 11 at his residence on North Bluff Street.
On April 19, the Joliet Fire Department located Long’s body in the Des Plaines River. The cause and manner of his death have not been disclosed to the public. Long’s mother, Jewell Robinson, expressed her grief, describing her son as a beloved individual who was known for his consistency.
Long had left his cell phone at his apartment before his disappearance. Although it remains unclear how he ended up in the river, there is currently no evidence of foul play.
The investigation into Long’s death is ongoing, and authorities extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
