Cheryl Turner Death – Officials have confirmed that a second individual has tragically passed away over a week after a man intentionally crashed a stolen 18-wheeler into a Department of Public Safety (DPS) office in Texas. The DPS has identified the latest victim as 63-year-old Cheryl Turner from Brenham.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased,” DPS noted on X, which is the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The incident occurred on April 12 when the vehicle forcefully collided with the building. Bobby Huff, aged 78, lost his life in the crash, and more than a dozen others sustained injuries.

The suspect, Clenard Parker, 42, was apprehended and now faces charges related to the incident. Prior to the crash, Parker was being pursued by the police in the stolen 18-wheeler. It was revealed that his application for a commercial driver’s license renewal had been rejected by the public safety building the day before the incident.

Senator Lois Kolkhorst expressed her condolences and emphasized the dangerous nature of the work carried out by law enforcement and licensing agencies in ensuring public safety and providing essential services. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
