Eric J Draper, 43-Year-Old Man Dies for Not Wearing a Seat Belt in Interstate 205 crash
Eric J. Draper, a resident of Battle Ground, lost his life on Saturday when his vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree while exiting westbound state Highway 14 to southbound Interstate 205.
According to a crash memo from the Washington State Patrol, it was revealed that Draper, aged 43, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The State Patrol reported that Draper’s 2013 Acura ILX left the road through the gore point and ascended an embankment before striking the tree head-on.
The collision occurred shortly before 11 a.m. Authorities have determined that speed played a role in the crash.
