Elliot Tramel Nowden Obituary: Woman dies in North Hollywood Metro train incident

Elliot Tramel Nowden Obituary – On the morning of April 22, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) received a distress call regarding a stabbing incident involving a deadly weapon at the Universal City Station located at Lankershim Boulevard and Campo De Cahuenga Way.

The victim, who was attacked while aboard the train, managed to exit onto the platform when the train made a stop at the Universal City Station. The assailant also disembarked and quickly fled the scene on foot. Metro contract security personnel promptly provided assistance to the victim until the arrival of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), who then transported her to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the victim succumbed to her injuries.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., patrol officers from the North Hollywood division were patrolling the vicinity of Ventura and Vineland when they spotted an individual matching the description of the suspect involved in the attack. The officers apprehended the individual and detained him until detectives from the Operations Valley Bureau Homicide unit could conduct an interview.

Following the questioning of witnesses and examination of available evidence, the individual was identified as Elliot Tramel Nowden, a 45-year-old African American male from Los Angeles. Nowden was subsequently arrested and charged with Murder under section 187(A)PC. He is currently being held on a bail amount of $2,000,000.00, with the booking number 6796711.

Investigators strongly suspect that there may be additional victims of Nowden’s crimes who have not yet come forward. In an effort to identify and communicate with these potential victims, a photograph of the suspect, Elliot Tramel Nowden, is being released to the public.
