With profound sorrow, the Delta Tau chapter announces the untimely passing of Mandy Larios, a cherished member of the Fall 2023 class at the University of Central Arkansas. Mandy’s vibrant spirit and radiant personality left an indelible mark on everyone she met, both within our sisterhood and across the campus community.
Mandy’s presence was a beacon of joy and friendship. Her unique ability to make each person feel deeply seen and instantly befriended stemmed from a genuine warmth and openness that defined her character. Her laughter was infectious, her energy boundless, and her kindness, boundless.
Throughout her time at UCA, Mandy was not only a pivotal figure in our chapter but also an active participant in various campus activities, touching numerous lives along the way. Her loss is felt deeply by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances whose lives she brightened with her ever-present smile and cheerful demeanor.
To honor Mandy’s memory, the Delta Tau chapter will hold a memorial service this Thursday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the amphitheater outside the Student Center. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in this celebration of her life, to share stories, and to support one another as we remember a life so beautifully lived.
Her sisters in the Fall ’23 class remember her fondly: “Mandy lit up every room she walked into, without effort. No matter where she went, she always made a friend along the way. When she met someone new, she had a way of making them feel like she had known them forever. Her joyous personality and loving demeanor was incomparable.”
Mandy’s legacy will continue to inspire and influence us all. As we gather to reflect on her life and contributions, we extend our deepest condolences to Mandy’s family, reaffirming our gratitude for the bright, albeit too short, time she graced our lives.
