At Tennyson Road and Lustig Court, a pedestrian accident claimed the life of a man.
As per the Hayward Police Department, the fatal pedestrian collision occurred on Friday at approximately 10:23 p.m. A male pedestrian, age 56, was struck by a 29-year-old lady at the crossroads under mysterious circumstances.
The female driver then came to a stop, pulled over, and waited for the police to show up.
Emergency medical personnel treated the critically injured man a few minutes later. Nevertheless, his severe injuries proved to be fatal. His name has been suppressed by the authorities until his next of kin has been notified.
Authorities spoke with the female driver after the collision, who was not injured and was not under the influence of alcohol.
