Lindsay Candy,Dylan Obituary,Death; – Jonathon Candy, aged 42, was named as the perpetrator of the tragic incident that occurred on Monday. The victims were identified as Lindsay Candy, aged 39, along with their sons Dylan, aged 18, Ethan, aged 14, and Lucas, aged 12.
The couple’s 10-year-old son, whose name has not been disclosed, survived the attack and alerted the authorities.
The police arrived at the scene in Oklahoma City’s west side at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, discovering the deceased individuals inside the residence.
According to the investigation, Candy engaged in a dispute with his wife, Lindsay, during the night, resulting in him fatally shooting her.
Subsequently, he proceeded to systematically shoot and kill their children. After committing these heinous acts, Candy turned the gun on himself. The authorities found a firearm near his body.
The motive behind Candy’s actions remains unclear, but the tragic event has been described as a massacre by Officer Gary Knight. The children were mercilessly targeted and killed, with at least one of them being shot while asleep in bed.
Prior to this incident, the police had no record of any disturbances at the Candy residence. The Candy sons were students at Mustang Public Schools, with Dylan having graduated in 2023, Ethan in ninth grade, and Lucas in sixth grade.
