Law enforcement officials confirmed Monday evening the apprehension of Nicholas McCullough, aged 30, in London, subsequent to his alleged involvement in a recent home invasion.

McCullough was subsequently transported back to Windsor, where he now confronts charges comprising two counts each of robbery with a weapon and assault with a weapon.

Earlier this month, Windsor police revealed during a press briefing that three individuals had been apprehended, leaving McCullough as the fourth individual sought in connection to a home invasion incident in Windsor’s eastern precinct.

The incident unfolded on Aspenshore Avenue, where two masked perpetrators, armed with a firearm, forcibly entered a residence.

During the altercation, a 72-year-old male resident sustained injuries while attempting to repel one of the assailants, whereas a 71-year-old female occupant was forcibly thrown to the ground before the perpetrators absconded with valuables from the premises.

Notably, the suspects purportedly masqueraded as law enforcement officers immediately preceding the invasion. The initial trio detained by law enforcement now face charges related to the impersonation of a peace officer.

Authorities disclosed that McCullough was previously on parole, serving a sentence spanning six years and seven months for offenses including aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, discharging a restricted firearm with intent, and contravention of probation conditions.
