Obituary: Nivesh Mukka Of Peoria, Arizona Succumbs In Fatal Lake Pleasant Area Car Crash
In a sorrowful turn of events, authorities in Peoria, Arizona, have disclosed the identities of those tragically lost in a head-on collision near Lake Pleasant on Saturday evening.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., responders from the Peoria Police Department, along the Peoria Fire and Medical Department, rushed to the scene of the accident along Castle Hot Springs Road, located just north of State Route 74.
According to police reports, a red Ford F-150 was traveling north on Castle Hot Springs Road, while a white Kia Forte was heading south. Tragically, the two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in devastating consequences.
Among the victims were passengers in the Kia Forte, identified as 19-year-old Nivesh Mukka and 19-year-old Gouthan Parsi, both hailing from India.
Their injuries proved fatal, and they succumbed to them at the scene. Although the driver of the Kia Forte and the occupant of the truck sustained severe injuries, they have since been discharged from the hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation, with authorities yet to determine whether speed or impairment played a role in the tragic incident.
Expressing gratitude towards citizens who stopped to offer assistance, the Peoria police conveyed their appreciation for everyone’s patience during the closure of the roadway and the subsequent investigation.
Their heartfelt condolences extend to the victims, their families, and all those who provided aid during this distressing ordeal.
Following the closure throughout the night, Castle Hot Springs Road was reopened on Sunday morning, restoring normalcy to the area just after 5:30 a.m.
