Jorge Marenco, Jose Turcios Obituary: Police identify 2 men killed in boat-yacht collision near Boca Chita Key
Jorge Marenco, Jose Turcios Obituary- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission report released on Wednesday has identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a tragic collision between a small boat and a yacht near Boca Chita Key over the weekend. The victims have been identified as Jorge Marenco, aged 49, and Jose Turcios, aged 51.
According to the report, both men were on board a 17-foot center console Key West, along with five other individuals, when it collided with a 51-foot Azimut cabin cruiser that also had seven people on board.
The collision occurred on Biscayne Bay, with the Azimut heading from Elliot Key to Dinner Key Marina, and the Key West traveling from Boca Chita to Black Point Marina.
Following the incident, Marenco, who resided in Miami, and Turcios, from Beaumont, Texas, were airlifted to a local hospital where they tragically succumbed to their injuries.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities have not yet disclosed any potential factors that may have contributed to the collision.
