Inkwon Seol Obituary, Resident of Illinois tragically lost his life in a fatal accident on I-65.
Inkwon Seol Obituary, – A man from Long Grove, Illinois lost his life in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 65 on Tuesday afternoon.
Inkwon Seol, aged 44, sustained fatal injuries from the crash, as confirmed by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. He was declared deceased at approximately 3:38 p.m. at the St. Mary Medical Center emergency room in Hobart.
Indiana State Police troopers responded to the scene of the multi-vehicle crash on I-65 northbound, just south of the ramp to I-80/94, according to an ISP news release.
Initial findings indicate that a Chevrolet HHR traveling north in the right lane of I-65 failed to slow down as traffic congestion increased, resulting in a rear-end collision with a 2010 Hyundai Elantra driven by Seol. Consequently, the Elantra was pushed into the path of a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup, which struck the Elantra on the driver’s side.
The severity of the crash led to significant traffic congestion on I-65 for several hours, as authorities conducted their investigation and crash reconstruction.
During the investigation of the crash, a pursuit took place within the traffic backup, as reported by the ISP. The pursuit concluded near the crash site, with a suspect being apprehended.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department handled the pursuit, but additional information was not available at the time of the press release, according to a spokesperson.
