For many years, she represented our organization as one of the South Eastern Historical Association reps, fostering connections and knowledge-sharing between groups. Even amidst various medical procedures, Lyne’s commitment didn’t falter. Her determination culminated in leading the October 2023 cemetery walk, a testament to her unwavering spirit.

As we entered 2024, Lyne’s spirit remained unbroken. In March, she was actively involved, sending out publicity notices and delving into research for the upcoming cemetery walk at Emerald. However, April brought a turn for the worse, and she was readmitted to the hospital.
Through it all, Lyne’s belief in overcoming obstacles never wavered. We, her friends, colleagues, and fellow history enthusiasts, held onto hope for her recovery.
But on Anzac Day, a day of remembrance, Lyne peacefully passed away. While our hearts ache with her loss, we find solace in the immense legacy she leaves behind.
