Fa’him Laron Miller Obituary – Officials have identified the teenager who was fatally shot in Minneapolis early Friday morning as Fa’him Laron Miller, a 14-year-old from Saint Paul. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that Miller died from a gunshot wound to the chest on April 26.

According to the police, they received reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of University Ave. NE around 3 a.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, officers discovered Miller lying outside an SUV, critically injured from the gunshot wounds.

They provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived and transported him to Hennepin County Medical Center. Unfortunately, Miller succumbed to his injuries three hours later.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara expressed his dismay over the incident, stating, “Teenagers, Kias and Hyundais, and guns have become a common recipe for violent crime and tragedy.

The death of a teenager out on the street is outrageous and totally unacceptable.” Chief O’Hara assured that the MPD would conduct a thorough investigation to bring justice for the victim and his loved ones. He also emphasized the need for collective efforts to put an end to the rising trend of youth violence.

Initial information from investigators suggests that Miller was in the SUV with other individuals when another vehicle entered the gas station parking lot, and someone from inside that vehicle opened fire. Police do not believe that anyone else was injured in the incident.
