John Pulver Obituary – A man was apprehended in West Valley City on Friday for the savage homicide of his father, as reported by the West Valley City Police. Jeremy Ross Pulver, aged 46, was taken into custody in Salt Lake County on a charge of murder, classified as a first-degree felony.

On April 26, around 11 a.m., the police received a call from a witness who reported that Jeremy Pulver, identified as the perpetrator, had allegedly murdered his own father, John Pulver, while staying at John’s residence.

Following the incident, Jeremy purportedly fled the vicinity, while the witness remained at the scene, awaiting the arrival of law enforcement. Once the first responders reached the location, the witness informed them that Jeremy had “brutally beaten John to death and filled his mouth with baking soda to ensure his demise,” according to a statement of probable cause.

The witness claimed to have acquired this information directly from Jeremy himself, stating that she encountered him just as he was fleeing and he disclosed these details to her.

Upon examining the scene, the police discovered John’s lifeless body, exhibiting signs of head trauma. Shortly thereafter, officers located Jeremy and transported him to the West Valley City Police Department for interrogation.

During the questioning at the station, Jeremy allegedly confessed to the police that he had visited John’s house two days prior, on Wednesday, to spend time with him.

Jeremy asserted that over the next two days, John expressed his desire to die “due to his advanced age,” as stated in the affidavit. Jeremy claimed that John had requested him to carry out the act of killing. Furthermore, Jeremy admitted to the police that he “wished for John’s demise,” according to the statement.

“Jeremy stated that he mustered the courage to end John’s life and early this morning, he entered John’s room. Upon entering, Jeremy found John lying in bed and declared that he was prepared to execute the act,” the affidavit detailed. Jeremy proceeded to recount his initial unsuccessful attempts to murder his father. He allegedly stated that his father “resisted more fiercely than [Jeremy] had anticipated” and warned that John would kill him in self-defense if he did not “bring it to an end soon.”
