The passing of Brian Carvalho, a cherished member of the Santander and Citizens Bank community, has left a profound sense of loss and sadness among family, friends, and colleagues. At the age of 40, Brian departed this world on Monday, April 29th, 2024, after a valiant battle with osteosarcoma, leaving behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Born to Nelson and Rosa (Carvalho) Carvalho in Fall River, Massachusetts, Brian was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother, whose love and compassion knew no bounds. His selfless nature and caring demeanor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
Throughout his career as a corporate compliance officer at Santander and Citizens Bank, Brian exemplified professionalism, integrity, and a tireless work ethic. His dedication to his role was matched only by his passion for sports, including his unwavering support for the San Francisco 49ers, fantasy football, the Boston Red Sox, and professional wrestling. Brian found joy in cheering on his favorite teams and sharing his enthusiasm for sports with others.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Brian was an active member of the Mt. Hope Lodge, where he held the esteemed rank of Master Mason. His commitment to service, humility, and generosity of spirit endeared him to his fellow lodge members, who regarded him with the highest esteem.
Brian’s greatest joy in life was his family, whom he cherished above all else. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 20 years, Elizabeth Cote Carvalho, and a loving father to his two daughters, Stella Rose Carvalho and Bettie Frances Carvalho. His unwavering love and support were the foundation upon which his family thrived, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
In addition to his immediate family, Brian is survived by his sister Cristal Carvalho, who shared a special bond with him that transcended time and distance. Their memories together will serve as a source of comfort and solace in the days ahead.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, located at 690 South Main St. His Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 10th, at 10:00 A.M. at Santo Christo Parish, located at 240 Columbia St., Fall River, following a procession from the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, where Brian will be laid to rest alongside generations of loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one’s choice in Brian’s honor, symbolizing his legacy of compassion and generosity.
