Tragedy Strikes North Sioux City: Sharon Allen, 75, and Her Two Grandsons, Ezra Allen, 1, and Keenan Allen, 8, Lose Their Lives in Devastating Fire Caused by Propane Explosion – Community Rallies to Support Grieving Family

A devastating fire caused by a propane explosion claimed the lives of three individuals, including a grandmother and her two young grandsons, in North Sioux City on Saturday. The victims have been identified as Sharon Kay Allen, 75, Ezra Josiah Allen, 1, and Keenan Andre Allen, 8.

According to authorities, the fire occurred at a residence on Bancroft Court, which was completely consumed by flames following the explosion. The bodies of the three victims were discovered inside the house once authorities were able to enter.

The North Sioux City Fire Department is seeking physical donations to support the families of the victims. Donations can be dropped off at the red door at the fire station and should include items such as clothing, diapers, formula, and personal care products.

Specifically, the fire department is accepting donations of baby clothes for boys aged 0-3 months, diapers in sizes 1 or 2, wipes, and Similac blue lid formula. Women’s clothing in sizes 18/20 for pants, size 2X and 3X shirts, and size 9 and 8W shoes, socks, and underwear in sizes L, XL, and 3X are also being accepted. Additionally, feminine care products, deodorant, toothpaste, razors, shampoo, body wash, and other personal care items will be accepted.

A gift account has also been established at Great Southern Bank on Pierce Street for monetary donations. Donors should specify that they would like to contribute to the account designated for Brittany Allen.

The community of Siouxland is coming together to support the grieving family during this difficult time. The loss of three precious lives has sent shockwaves through the community, and many are seeking ways to help.

Funeral arrangements and obituary information for Sharon Allen, Ezra Allen, and Keenan Allen will be released by the family at a later date.

In the meantime, the community is encouraged to continue showing support and love to the family through donations and other gestures of kindness. The tragic loss of these three lives will be deeply felt, and it is crucial that we come together to support those affected.
