Tragedy Strikes Washington Township: One Man Loses Life in Friday Afternoon Car Accident on County Road 325 East

A devastating single-vehicle accident occurred on Friday afternoon in Washington Township, claiming the life of a lone male driver. The incident happened at approximately 12:16 p.m. at a property on County Road 325 East, south of County Road 500 North.

According to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office, the department’s deputies were called to the scene, where they found a 2019 Honda pickup truck had veered off the east side of the road, struck some construction debris, and come to rest in an open field.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive by the officers. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was later declared deceased due to the severity of his injuries.

Sgt. Ben McFalls, the public information officer for the Porter County Sheriff’s Office, released a statement confirming the incident and the ongoing investigation into its cause.
